Properties of a Good Communication System
The communication system depends on the following characteristics.
a. Delivery
Delivery refers to the process of transporting goods or services from one location to another. Delivery can be performed by a variety of means, including by mail or courier, by truck or other vehicle, or by air or sea. The specific method of delivery depends on the size, weight, and destination of the goods or services being delivered.
In the context of online shopping or e-commerce, delivery refers to the process of transporting goods that have been purchased online to the customer's specified address. This can be done through a variety of delivery services, such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL. Customers can choose the delivery service and method that best meets their needs, such as standard delivery, express delivery, or same-day delivery.
b. Accuracy
The communication system must deliver the data accurately. Data that have been
altered in transmission and left uncorrected are unusable. The data must be delivered
accurately. If there is any error occurred during transmission, the data must be re-
transmitted.
C. Timeliness
The communication system must deliver data in a timely manner. Data delivered late
are useless. In the case of video and audio, timely delivery means delivering data as
they are produced, in the same order that they are produced, and without significant
delay. This kind of delivery is called real-time transmission. In real-time systems late
data becomes useless. For example, in live television transmission, the video signals
must be delivered within time as they are produced without any significant delay.
